Announcing the September 2018 Recurring Match Campaign

GlobalGiving will be running our next Recurring Match Campaign from Monday, September 24 through Friday, September 28, 2018, to help incentivize your donors to start new recurring donations for your project!

Over the years, we’ve found great success with this campaign. Since the first Recurring Match Campaign launched in August 2012, these campaigns have raised more than $2 million dollars for 2,000+ projects on the GlobalGiving platform! We hope you see the value in this campaign for your fundraising and promote it to your supporters.

Earn 12 GG Rewards Points By Completing A Free Online Course With Philanthropy University

GlobalGiving is excited to partner with Philanthropy University to offer nonprofit partners more ways to get rewarded for continuing to learn. Philanthropy University is a digital learning platform that provides locally led organizations with knowledge and resources to better serve their communities. Courses like Girl Centered Design, Human Capital Strategy, and Planning for Monitoring and Evaluation are created by leading academics and development professionals from around the world and offered free of charge through an easy-to-use, engaging online platform.

To encourage our partners to benefit from Philanthropy University’s excellent courses, successfully completing any Philanthropy University course will now earn your organization 12 GG Rewards points. Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose a course and register. Make sure you register with your organization name exactly as it appears on GlobalGiving.
  2. Complete Philanthropy University course requirements for graduation.
  3. Your GG Rewards points should appear on your dashboard within two to three weeks following the end of the course.

Choose a course and register today or email us at projecthelp@globalgiving.org with any questions!

Meet GlobalGiving’s 2018 Disaster Feedback Fellows

Meet GlobalGiving’s 2018 Disaster Feedback Fellows

Ana Yris Guzmán is the co-founder of Nuestra Escuela, a flourishing alternative high school in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

Ever since Hurricane Maria hit, Ana is also a disaster relief coordinator.

The hurricane uprooted many of her students and staff. “They lost many things, including family, houses, the basic necessities,” Ana told me earlier this year.

So, Ana is doing what needs to be done for hurricane survivors in addition to her everyday duties. Nuestra Escuela’s hurricane relief projects include a free food program, post-traumatic stress relief curriculum, and a creative cleanup project. The cleanup project is led by a team of Nuestra Escuela students who are transforming hurricane-uprooted trees into school furniture.

“With the support of many people, we can recover,” Ana said.
