As you may know, GlobalGiving works to help organizations access more than just money. Our mission is also to connect you with valuable information and ideas that can help you become a more effective organization and transform your work in the field. For 2016, we have three opportunities to receive one-on-one, in-person support from members of the GlobalGiving team.
Today we are excited to announce the details of one of these professional support opportunities! Apply now to receive support for your email, social media, and online advertising efforts from Will Frechette, GlobalGiving’s Digital Marketing Specialist. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, August 24th.
About the Opportunity
If you’re looking to send more effective fundraising emails, engage more of your followers on social media, or get the most out of your Google AdWords grant, then you should apply today! Working with Will in the lead-up to his visit, you’ll have the opportunity to design a week-long digital marketing course that’s tailored to your organization’s priorities.
Before the visit, you’ll connect with Will to review your organization’s current digital marketing efforts, analyze strengths to amplify and identify opportunities for growth, and map out a plan of action for the week of his visit. Potential topic areas include (but aren’t limited to):
- Refining your organization’s email marketing strategy
- Updating the look and feel of your emails so they reflect current best practices and work well on mobile devices
- Designing email experiments to boost fundraising results
- Training your staff on how to write great email appeals
- Planning a multi-channel year-end fundraising campaign
- Adapting your stories for multiple digital channels
- Creating an editorial calendar to coordinate your social media campaigns
- Reviewing marketing workflows to help your staff spend time more efficiently
- Configuring and optimizing your Google AdWords account
- Investigating new marketing tools for your organization
The purpose of this opportunity is to provide the framework, insights, and knowledge you need to improve your organization’s digital marketing results. Will is available to offer training, support, and advice during the visit, but there will be a signed agreement detailing the actual time commitment and deliverables. Similarly, this exciting opportunity is not directly tied to additional fundraising resources or corporate partnership opportunities; our team will not connect you with funders as a result of this opportunity.
Will has the privilege of sharing stories from GlobalGiving’s nonprofit partners, donors and staff with our online audience. He joins our team after more than a decade of organizing on behalf of environmental and public interest campaigns, both online and on the ground. After growing up in Massachusetts, he studied political science and journalism at The Evergreen State College. He can currently be found poking around suburban Maryland’s myriad thrift stores and cheering for the Boston Celtics.
The Application Process
Only GlobalGiving Partners, Leaders, and Superstars are eligible to apply for this opportunity. Apply online here by Wednesday, August 24th. Finalists will be selected to participate in an interview process in late August or early September. One organization will be selected to receive in-person, hands on support.
